The much anticipated Game of Thrones Season two premiered Sunday on HBO. It was absolutely worth the wait. The episode jumped in a few weeks from where it left off, mid war between the north and the south. Rob Stark has claimed three victories over the south, King Joffery and the Lannisters. Joffery is as nasty and brutish as ever before, leaving you wondering when he will finally get what's coming to him.
Stannis Baratheon finally enters the picture this season and is as the late Robert Baratheon's eldest brother, the rightful heir to the iron throne. His creepy cheerleader, a priestess with her own magical element is sure to add to Stannis's power over all other contenders.
Daenery Targaryen left last season covered in new born dragons, seemingly the ultimate force to reckoned with. She and her followers are still trying to cross the desert wasteland where many are starving to death.
Don't forget about Jon Snow at the wall and continue to wonder what everyone means when they say "Winter is coming".
We realized this show is not afraid of risks when they killed off their likable main character Ned Stark last season. As said by Rolling Stone "Games will go places, most dramas, let alone most fantasies, wouldn't dare."
I can't wait!
Pinterest is the hottest new social media platform to hit
the web and its extreme popularity seemed to come out of nowhere. Six months ago people had never even
heard of this trend-sharing site but makers are boasting 11 million hits in one
week last month, 40 times what they were at that time. I am personally amazed
with Pinterst and could scroll the site all day.
What is Pinterest? It’s a social networking platform that gives
users their own “virtual pinboard”.
The site is highly visual and allows people to post or “pin” pictures of
things they like. Most of the photos
are absolutely breathtaking. From fashion to landscapes, crafts and recipe
ideas, the site is noticeably aimed at females. My guy friends have taken one look at it and wondered what
makes us love it so much.
Personally the fashion is a huge selling point. What are girls more interested in then
clothes, hairstyles, and nail polish? The site is chuck full of them and the
never-ending photos could keep a girl busy for hours.
As an exclusive “members only” site visitors must request membership
to have their own boards. Even
with this distinctive feature, hits are still climbing. I predict this is only
the beginning. Pinterest will be a
household name in no time.
